Which brands AI engines actually cite.
Every month we ask the AI engines the same fixed set of buyer questions in one category and one market, and count which brands they cite. Same questions, same engines, same brands, every month — so a change in the numbers is a change in the world.
How it is measured
- One index is one category in one market. Cross-market comparison would compare different denominators, so we never mix them.
- The questions are fixed, chosen by search demand, and contain no brand names. Neutral buyer questions only.
- An answer counts only when an engine actually produced one we could read. Anything else is excluded from the denominator and stated on the page.
- AI Citation Rate is the one metric: cited answers divided by measurable answers.
- Every answer and every cited source is kept, so any published number can be traced back to the evidence behind it.
