1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CiteAgent ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CiteAgent is an AI-powered AEO and citation monitoring platform that provides website auditing, content gap analysis, citation tracking, AI visibility intelligence, and related tools. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated at any time.

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account with accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers or networks connected to it
  • Scrape, crawl, or spider the Service except through our provided APIs
  • Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited messages, or malicious content
  • Share your account credentials with third parties or allow unauthorized access
  • Exceed reasonable usage limits or abuse API rate limits

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). You authorize us to charge your payment method on each billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time — access continues until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, and documentation, is owned by CiteAgent and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any data you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide and improve the Service.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party APIs and tools (e.g., search engines, AI providers, crawling services). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or terms of these third-party services. Your use of integrated third-party services is subject to their respective terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CiteAgent shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
